Maksim (Max) Altmark serves as Chief Financial Officer at FVLCRUM, where he oversees all aspects of corporate and partnership finances, tax, treasury, fund management, reporting, and operations for the firm. Max brings over 16 years of experience in financial services and investment operations to the FVLCRUM team, having previously served in CFO roles for both private investment platforms and private equity-backed operating companies.

Max trained in audit at KPMG and later went on to serve as Director of Investment Operations at Georgetown University, where he also completed his MBA. He later transitioned to Strategic Investment Group, a leading Outsourced CIO firm, as Director of Operations. Most recently, Max served in CFO roles for several private equity backed companies.

Max holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, a Global Executive MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, and a BS in Accounting from Towson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant holding a CGMA designation from the American Institute of CPAs. Max was honored as one of Baltimore Banner’s 2024 Emerging Leaders.
